I bought my computer 3 1/2 years ago with my tax refund money (I know it was mine to begin with, but the refund makes it feel like it's free), and I didn't buy Apple Care because I didn't have enough money. Before the warranty was up, I had a few issues and they fixed it no problem. But then the warranty wore out and I had issues with the battery life. This was the beginning of the gravy train: the person took pity on my and gave me a new battery, gratis.
Then, two summers ago I left my computer at my friend's farm in New York, and even though she took great care in packaging, it arrived bent and eventually it was unable to read CD's (and I might have dropped in onto the floor a couple times as well--oops). Since there was no close Mac store in Florida, I had to wait until I was visiting home in Arizona. The guy said he could fix it onsite in a week for $300 or ship it to their warehouse for $600. When I told him that I had to leave for Florida in two days, he dropped his voice low and offered me this: he would ship it to their warehouse, fix all my problems, and he would have them do it for free. No idea why. (I'm telling you this, I was not looking my best at the time. And I'm not being modest. Trust me.)
About seven months ago they gave me a new optical drive, and when I was having issues with it last week, they replaced it again--for free. Not that I'm complaining; I just didn't get it. I mean, I was getting over a cold, so my voice was a little sultry. But I swear, it wasn't that. I didn't even batt an eyelash.
Or was it? Does Apple, collectively, have a fatty-fat crush on me? I hope so. Because now that Verizon has gotten on board, I really want an iPhone, and it would be great if it came for free. I'm just saying.

Geez, I'm more than a little jealous. I'm pretty sure that Pandora has a crush on me. And I'm not talking about the internet radio. I'm talking about the world-destroying unleashing of all that is evil and pernicious.
Actually, it isn't that bad. But my truck did break down, and that made me sad.
And Verizon now has the iphone? When did THAT happen? I must have missed the obscure news article somewhere.
Just kiddin'. I want one. There, I said it.
they're totally crushin'
Your good looks may get you free repairs... but I'm pretty sure that a free iPhone is going to require some cleavage. Sorry, those are the rules.
Think you'll have the same luck with my broken ipod? I can mail it to you. Today, in fact....
Maybe you are getting my share of Apple's love. I bought a top of the line MacBook and Apple Care, too. It broke after 13 months, they refused to fix it under Apple Care because there was one tiny little dent that had been there long before the problem and wanted me to pay $1000 to fix it. Instead, I bought a cheap new one for $1017.
Even in my professional life, I've never seen Apple Care fix any problem with a laptop. They always claim accidental damage. You are one very lucky girl.
